Serving Jesus Ministries

To serve people as Jesus served

Mission Statement

Continuing the ministry of Christ by serving the people of India, focusing on the weak, the downtrodden, the economically less fortunate and socially underprivileged

Jesus showed love and compassion to everyone without partiality while He was on earth. And He is the same, yesterday, today and forever! He taught people how to live, he healed the sick and served the needy. Above all, He gave His life to redeem, to save all people from the curse of sin and free them from the domain of the evil one and to transfer them from the kingdom of darkness to the domain of the living God and kingdom of light. Having received these blessings personally from Lord Jesus and constrained by His love, the promoters of SJM want to continue His ministry, touching and transforming the lives of others by His love and power.

About Us

A small group of people touched and transformed by the love of Christ, surrendered their lives to Him. By His enabling grace and led by the Spirit, they resolved to follow in His footsteps. This Trust (Serving Jesus Ministries) has been formed by them with a view to serve the people of this generation in their command area. They are Bible believing evangelicals. They are active members of the local church. They speak different languages and hail from different regions but united in Christ.

What do we believe

There is an almighty God who created us, the universe and everything in it. He is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. He is Spirit without any material form. He has revealed himself in many ways in our world and in nature, but specifically through the person of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the sixty-six books of the Bible.

Evolution of SJM

The promoters of the Trust initially focused on the economic migrants who have come from North to South India in search of livelihood and bare necessities. Dire poverty and unemployment in the north, east and central India have driven the people to take the extreme step of leaving their loved ones and families. Knowing that they have to reckon with people of different cultures and languages, they embarked on a long and tedious journey towards states like Tamil Nadu.
